Artists at Work, located at 51 Lake Street, is proud to present the Cairns ARTchies Portrait Prize, running from November 1st to 30th, 2025, open daily from 10am to 4pm.

Now in its second year, the ARTchies offers a local take on Australia’s most prestigious portrait competition, the Archibald Prize — celebrating the creativity and talent of artists from across the region.

The public is warmly invited to the Opening Night on Friday, October 31st, from 5pm to 8pm, where prize winners will be announced and awards presented. Guests can enjoy drinks and nibbles while mingling with artists and art lovers alike.
